La ricca discografia di Michael Stipe e soci, pur avendo una media qualitativa piuttosto alta, vanta sicuramente dei picchi
inarrivabili.
Uno di essi è di certo l’album del 1992 Automatic For The People. Il prossimo 10 Novembre, via Craft Recordings, verrà pubblicata la 25th Anniversary Edition di questo capolavoro dei R.E.M..
Tra i vari formati previsti, quello più interessante è la deluxe edition che presenterà la scaletta originale remixata in in Dolby Atmos dal produttore dell’epoca Scott Litt e dal tecnico Clif Norrel, l’unico live di quell’anno che la band tenne per un benefit concert nella loro Athens, un’ampia manciata di demo inedite (compresa Mike’s Pop Song che potete ascoltare al link sottostante), un Blu-ray ed altro materiale esclusivo.
