Sarà un triplo cd a celebrare l’epopea della new wave of the new wave di metà anni novanta. L’era Brit pop fu un periodo breve ma inteso, moltissime bands ebbero il loro momento di gloria proponendo sonorità di chiara matrice anglosassone: melodia, chitarre taglienti, sfrontatezza e fashion style.
La compilation inclide nomi storici come i Pulp, The Stone Roses, Supergrass e Super Furry Animals ma non include gruppi come Oasis e Blur.
La raccolta è stata compilata da Bob Stanley dei Saint Etienne, in quel periodo storico giornalista del defunto settimanale Melody Maker.
